2010年6月12日是「女皇官方壽辰」(Queen’s Official Birthday) ，每年一度的軍旗閱兵儀式 (Trooping of the Colour) 於是日早上在倫敦隆重舉行，英聯邦各國的代表會出席儀式，英國廣播公司 (BBC) 也會直播整個儀式。
「女皇官方壽辰」通常是在每年的第一、第二或者第三個星期六慶祝的，1997年以前更曾是香港的公眾假期。值得注意的是，女皇真正生日的日期是4月21日，所以「女皇官方壽辰」慶日不是女皇真正的生日。英國官方選擇在六月才慶祝女皇的生日，主要是因為六月的倫敦天氣較佳，適合進行閱兵儀式。

There is a mistake in the above post: the military parade performed by British and Commonwealth troops on Her Majesty the Queen’s official birthday should be called Trooping the Colour instead of ‘Trooping of the Colour’.
